Request for information
Tell us what the future of behavioral health needs.
Psyrin is exploring a fund to help mental health and addiction providers use AI to widen access and personalize care. Before we decide anything, we want to hear from the people doing the work.
This is a request for information only. It isn't a grant application or an offer of funding, and a fund may never launch.

Need for mental health and addiction care far outstrips capacity, and the people doing the work are stretched thin.
93%
of behavioral health workers have experienced burnout
52.1%
of US adults with a mental illness received any treatment in 2024
Need far outstrips capacity.
Only 52.1% of US adults with a mental illness received any treatment in 2024, and 137.1 million people live in areas with a shortage of mental health professionals.
Clinicians lose hours to paperwork.
93% of behavioral health workers have experienced burnout, and 68% of those providing care say administrative work takes time from clients.
AI can help across the care journey.
In one study, clinician burnout fell from 52.6% to 30.7% after 84 days of using an AI scribe. Most of this evidence comes from primary care, and evidence specific to behavioral health is still emerging.
The providers who serve the most people have the least room to try new tools.
Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics alone served an estimated 3.4 million people in 2025.
The goal is care that fits the person.
Beyond saving time, AI can help clinicians measure progress, spot risk sooner and match treatment to the person.
Does this match what you see in your work?
Tell us what you seeWho we'd like to hear from
We'd especially like to hear from US organizations that provide mental health or substance use services, including:
- community mental health centers and local mental health authorities
- Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics
- substance use disorder and opioid treatment programs
- crisis services
- recovery and peer support organizations
- group practices
- hospitals, health systems and FQHCs with behavioral health services
Clinicians, researchers, state and county agencies, payers and associations are welcome too. You don't need to use AI today, and you don't need to be a Psyrin customer.
Not a provider? It takes about 4 minutes.
Respond to the RFIWhy Psyrin is doing this
Psyrin builds AI for behavioral health. Its product, Mira, supports intake, assessment and documentation in community clinics. That work shows us every day what AI can do for access and care, and what gets in the way: cost, time, trust and evidence.
We believe AI can widen the front door to care, give clinicians time back and help match treatment to the person, whichever tools a provider chooses. A fund could help providers who can't otherwise take that step. Before we design one, we want to learn from you.

Is this a grant application?
No. This is a request for information. We're gathering input to help decide whether and how to design a fund. You can't apply for funding here.
Will there be a fund?
We haven't decided. What we learn from this RFI will shape that decision, and a fund may never launch.
How much funding would a fund offer?
We haven't set an amount, and we may not launch a fund at all. The RFI asks what level of support would make a difference to you, which helps us understand needs.
Who can respond?
We'd especially like to hear from US organizations that provide mental health or substance use services. Clinicians, researchers, state and county agencies, payers and associations are welcome too. You don't need to use AI today.
Do I need to be a Psyrin customer or use Psyrin products?
No. You don't need to be a customer, use Psyrin products, or plan to.
Does responding give me priority for a future fund?
No. Responding, or not responding, won't affect eligibility or priority for any future program. If we do launch a fund, we plan to let everyone who responded or signed up for updates know.
Is there a deadline?
No. We review responses as they arrive.
How long does it take?
About 10 minutes if you're responding for a provider organization, and about 4 minutes otherwise. There's nothing to prepare.
What will you do with my response?
We'll read it and use it to decide whether and how to design a fund, and to understand how AI is being used in behavioral health. Psyrin may also use what it learns to inform its products and services. We may publish a summary of findings that doesn't identify you or your organization. If we do, we'll send you a copy.
Will you name my organization or quote me?
Not without your permission.
Can I include patient information?
No. Please don't include patient names or anything that could identify a client, including records covered by 42 CFR Part 2. If we find patient information in a response, we delete it.
Who will contact me, and how do I stop it?
Psyrin Inc. may contact you about your response, the BH Future Fund, and Psyrin's products and services. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email hello@bhfuturefund.com.
Is the BH Future Fund an investment fund or a charity?
No. It doesn't accept investments or donations, and it isn't a charity or a separate legal entity. It's a program of Psyrin Inc.
Who is behind the BH Future Fund?
The BH Future Fund is a program of Psyrin Inc., a for-profit company that builds AI for behavioral health and is backed by venture capital investors. Psyrin runs and pays for this RFI. We're telling you up front so you can weigh it when you decide whether to respond.
